I have absolutely loved being a part of Team Mom, and getting to try out products with my family! This time, they sent the Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle Mat, and the Kid Kleen Bath Blizzard.
Let's take them one by one:
The company says: The Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle Mat is no mess magic! It's the activity toy for active, creative toddlers that allows them to make great art, over and over again -- without the mess! Kids can stamp or draw using pen-like holders filled with water. After 20 seconds the area dries and the color disappears.
I say: They're right! We had gotten a few of the mini-mats before, but as soon as I took out the large floor-mat, and unfurled it, the kids were exclaiming, "Woah!" The only problem is that we had lost the other pens, so we only had the one that came with the mat. We took the chance to practice sharing, and it was touch-and-go for a minute! Now that I think about it, I could have cut up a few sponges into shapes and gently wet them. I'll do that next time! The best part of this mat is that there are drawing "tutorials" on the edge. They show the kids how to draw several pictures, in 2-4 steps. They had a BALL trying to learn the techniques! Of course, Little pea stuck with the only letter she can draw: A. She draws a long zig zag, and puts a long line through them, just like I did when writing sentences for punishment! But this was anything BUT punishment. It was great!
The Company Says: Kid Kleen Bath Blizzard Bubble Maker creates tub bubbles and foam with the BATH BLIZZARD! Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere! The Bath Blizzard creates fun by releasing a waterfall of bubbly foam for the tub. Makes bath time fun! Turn your tub into a sudsy wonderland! The Kidkleen Bath Blizzard sticks onto your tub - watch it create a blizzard of bubbles and foam right before your eyes. It spits out more bubbles than you can imagine - so kids have a blast and come out squeaky clean.
I say: Bubble baths were never so much fun! I honestly thought it would be similar to drawing a bubble bath- a nice novelty and they would have an OK time. Wow! It was so much more than that! There was a little glitch as we found the junk drawer sadly missing size C batteries. But it was worth the wait to get them. The machine worked just the way they said it would, and it was very easy to figure out. You know how you secretly hope that you won't have to calm down upset kids when the toy doesn't work right? My fear, in this case was unfounded.
The bubbles were also very different than simple bath bubbles. They were extremely light and fluffy, almost like when you blow bubbles. The kids made beards and mustaches, beehive hairdo's and blew the fluff in the air. I do have to say that I couldn't get the strap to hold the machine onto the faucet. It kept coming off. So we defied the instructions and set the machine on the side of the tub.
These toys from SpinMaster earn my highest rating of 4 gifts for Christmas!

I've been wanting to get my hands on the Aquadoodle for my son Gabriel, I'd rather see marks on the doodle than on my walls for sure!
