First off, for full disclosure, I am a HUGE Pillsbury fan! I regularly use the refrigerated Pizza Crust, Crescent Rolls, and Grands Biscuits in all sorts of concoctions. And for pies, I fool everyone with the refrigerated Pillsbury Pie Crusts. If that isn't enough, Pillsbury products are regularly featured in the coupon section. Paired with store sales I get them for a fraction of the price!
So when they contacted me to try their new Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites, I thought I would be in for a treat. Here's how Pillsbury describes them:
“Pillsbury Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites feature warm, flaky pastry dough wrapped around tasty fillings and come in three varieties; cheese and spinach, buffalo style chicken and mozzarella and pepperoni. They are easy to prepare (just 20 minutes in the oven) and are the perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine.”My husband and I decided to fix them for a snack after the kids went to bed, while we watch our favorite shows. So we popped them in the oven, then snuggled up with a glass of Reisling and the Spinach and Cheese flavored Savorings. They were fabulous, just as I suspected! The pastry really was flaky and delicate, and the filling had a completely gourmet flavor! I'm telling you- just like the pie crust, if you take these to a dinner party, they will never know you didn't get them from an upscale caterer!
For a MOPS Steering Team meeting (without the wine), a mom's night out party, or just hanging out with the hubby, Savorings are definitely a winner.
Compliments of Pillsbury, you can win a Savoring the Moment gift bag, including
- a free coupon for Savorings Flaky Pasty Bites
- a wine bottle topper
- wine glass charms
- a bottle opener
- a wine and food guide
- stampable wine tags
- and an appetizer plate that also holds your wine glass.
To win this prize, leave a comment on this post, saying what function you could bring Pillsbury Savorings, as an appetizer.

Hello, When our church has a Congregational Meeting, each family is asked to bring a food item for lunch before the meeting. These would make a great appetizer for this function. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

These look very yummy!!!!
I would take them to my father's house for Thankgiving. We usually have the same appetizers all the time (pigs in a blanket, salad, chips, deviled eggs). It would be great to have something different for a change and these look like something everyone would gobble up.
Thank you for the awesome giveaway!
